Lazarus Thomas (Nama) attended the "fifth course" of the Augustineum in Okahandja. He was from Karras [sic] and born 1916. He attended 5 years school in Karras and worked on Kranzplatz before coming to the Augustineum. (His vita is therefore very much similar to that of Jeremias Vlermuis and Paul Links). He was confirmed in Gibeon. He was married to Elisabeth when joining the course. He spoke Nama. He died of Malaria during the course.2
In 1959 a Nama teacher Samuel Thomas in Rietfontein. is mentioned in BRMG July 1959:126
