A cousin of Pastor Hendrik Isaak, looked very much like him, "[...] but not of the same importance like him." (Martha Pönnighaus RMG 2.651a p. 38r).
Attended the so called "second course" for teachers and Evangelists of Vedder at the Augustineum from 16.07.1926 (its actual commencing date) till the end of the teachers course on the 21.06.1929 and was send as a teacher to Mariental.2
Attended the second three-year course in Augustineum in Okahandja in 1926-1929. He attended the course as a young man of 20 years. He was form Gibeon and send to Mariental after the course. He was not married when he attended the course in Okahandja. According to Vedder's report he only spoke Nama at that stage. RMG 2.648 p. 28-30.

Cornelius was the first born. Sarah Isaak (who married the evangelist Adam Isaak).
The other two sons were teachers, one of them (his name Hanankja) became pastor, first for AMEC and then later for AFM in Windhoek.4

Attended the "Konferensie van die werkerkring van Gibeon." 12.-14.07.1949 in Gibeon.5

Was teacher in Gibeon. Was recruited for the Paulinum because in 1952 the policy was to train teachers who had a certain basic education and who were able to speak Afrikaans. Attended the second pastor course in the Paulinum which started in February 1953. He came with his wife Maria and six children. RMG 2.651a p. 53. According to a letter of Martha Pönnighaus, he was the only one who really gave up his good salary as a teacher and to come and study at the Paulinum. His wife seems to had problems with this decision. RMG 2.651a p. 38.

Any connection to?: Eduard Isaak. baptized Berseba, 1848  † Berseba, 02.03.1914. "Zu den verstorbenen Gemeindegliedern gehört der Aelteste Eduard Isaak. Er hat das hohe Alter von 105 Jahren erreicht. 1848 wurde er getauft und 1868 als Gemeindeältester eingesetzt. Diesem Dienst war er treu bis zum Tode. Besonders während des Aufstandes hat er der Gemeinde im Jahre 1904-06 unschätzbare Dienste geleistet. Es ist wesentlich seinem Einfluß zuzuschreiben, daß der Stamm davor bewahrt blieb, in den Aufstand einzutreten. Er besaß als treuer Aeltester einen großen Einfluß und war in manchen Beziehungen den Gemeindegliedern ein gutes Vorbild. Vor allem hatte er eine tiefe Liebe und große Achtung vor Gottes Wort. Ohne zwingende Not versäumte er nie den Gottesdienst. Er starb am 2. März im festen Glauben an seinen Heiland." (JBRMG 1914:34).
