Bernsmann mentioned Eberhard during 1902:"[...] In ähnlicher Weise [wie Zachäus Kanaguesa Hanavi] arbeitet ein einfaches Gemeindeglied aus Omburo, Eberhard, in Otjihinomaparero [sic] in der Nähe von Okanjati, wenn auch unter schwierigeren Verhältnissen. Auch er hat bereits eine Buschkapelle gebaut und unterrichtet 40 Taufschüler."1
He was in Omburo on the 11.01.1904 and helped to burry the white farmer/trader?? Fuchs, who had been killed on the same day. Bernsmann described his experience of the day in his report, which was re-published by Rust.2 
According to Bernsmann own account, Eberhardt was present on the 17.01. [this is the date Bernsmann gives] - together with Alexander, Kaizetjitavi and Kleophas - when Fuchs was killed, who was buried by the four and attended a short burial ceremonial.3
