Benjamin Sipepe [sic] ("Omuambo") attended the Augustineum course from 16.07.1926 to 17.06.1927 and was send as Evangelist to Tsumeb.2

Benjamin Sipepe ("Omuambo") Attended the "second course" at the Augustineum which started on the 16.07.1926. He did not completed the full course for teachers which lasted until 1929, but left the Augustineum on the 17.06.1927 and was send as Evangelist to Tsumeb.3

His nanny fled with him from Ongandjera to Tsumeb after an attack on the homestead of his father, the chief of Ongandjera. Benjamin Shipepe grew up in Tsumeb under the care of his nanny and was treated as the rightful heir of the Ongandjera people. He worked at the mine and came in contact with the Ovambo-congregation in the town, which experienced an active revival in the 1920'tees. His baptism in the RMS congregation was an important event and attracted a big crowd of local people. He associated himself closely with the work of the RMS in Tsumeb during the time of RMS missionary Hochstraten and was send to the Augustineum in ??. After a year of studies he returned to Tsumeb and worked as an Evangelist under Hochstraten and Unterkötter. After the establishment of the FMS missionstation in Nkurenkuru in the Kavango in 1928, he joined the work of the FMS as an Evangelist at the Kavango.5
