Hendrik Frederik was send to Augustineum in Okahandja in 1951. In 1953 bigger demonstrations at Augustineum -with the principal Steenkamp - concerning the use of corporal punishment interrupted the learning. Frederik was expelled from Augustineum and thereby lost all the opportunities to complete his training as a teacher within South West Africa. Hendrik Frederik returned to Bethanie and worked in the shop of the Kratz brothers were he earned £ 1 per month. He married (whom ??) in 1955. His own wish at that time was to work on a farm and later become a cattle farmer. After working for 9 months in the general dealer in Bethanie he stopped working. In 1957 missionary Albat asked the church council to support the plan to send Hendrik Frederik to the Paulinum for training as an Evangelist. Hendrik had attended catechumen classes under Albat, he was confirmed and married by Albat and Albat was his spiritual guide in all his endeavours. Since the request and advice of the RMG missionary was very important for the members of the congregation, it was decided to send Hendrik Frederik to Paulinum for the Evangelist course which started beginning of the II. Term 1958. After completing the course at the end of the II. Term 1959, he worked as an Evangelist in Karibib, since the congregation had no Evangelist during that time. On his return to Bethanie, in July 1959, he worked together with Evangelist Ernst Anderson 196.doc, also during the time when missionary Albat was in Germany on a long vacation. The congregation had 4 Evangelists: Petrus Boois and Isak Frederik (his father) were responsible for the outskirts of Bethanie and the farms, while Ernst Anderson and Hendrik Frederik were working in the congregation in the youth work, cofirmation classes, visits in houses, Sunday school and as translators. Anderson and Frederik were also responsible for the building work at the mission station and for the garden work. Once in a week they cut the vegetables in the garden and sold it for the congregation. When Albat left Bethanie, Hendrik Frederik worked together with his successor, missionary Kuhlmann. Until 1963. He earned £ 6 per month and was not entitled to administer the sacraments. Nimmt am Evangelisten Anfängerkurs von April 1958 bis Juli 1959 im Paulinum teil.3 Worked as an Evangelist from 1964 - 1965.
