Kaffer, Abraham * ?, ? † . In 1867 the WMS had handed over the mission station Warmbad to the RMS. RMS missionary Weber, formerly Gobabis, was transferred to Warmbad. When the draught forced the Nama inhabitants to disperse into the surrounding area, the branch stations Wortel, Nabes and Blydverwacht were looked after from Warmbad. In the school the following "Nationalgehilfen" were working: Timotheus Snewe, Abraham Kaffer and Abraham Christian.1 On 23. October 1903 the Bondelswarts revolted against the German colonial force. The revolt was crushed after a short time. The Herero- and Nama-war followed shortly afterwards, and it was only after this military activities that the German military administration turned its attention back to the Bondelswarts. With the help of Father Malinowsky, who served in the Schutztruppe during the wars, a peacetreaty was signed with the Bondelswart on 21st and 22nd of December 1906 in Kalkfontein. The following persons were present at the negotiations: on the German side Lieutnant-Colonel von Estorff, Captain von Hagen, Lieutnenant von Bömke and von Schauruth, Count von Hageneck and Father Malinowsky and on the Bondelswarts side by Captain Johanes Christian and Abraham Kaffer.
