Of Löwenplatz, Magermann * ?, ? † . Mentioned by Ebner as the preacher in Löwenplatz p. 307, Ebner met Kaptein Owib and his son "Bundelswart" and Magermann, in Pella when he arrived there in 1813. On 20.02.1814 Magermann, who was already used as a translator by the LMS missionaries, was baptized. The other translator (whose name is not mentioned) was baptized on the 06.03.1814.1 When the Bondelswarts moved back to great Namaqualand, Magermann (who was also a "Oberhaupt") went with them. Ebner met him again in April 1818 when he went to Löwenplatz where Magermann held the services in the old, dipulated church building. The services were however only attended by 6-8 Persons. It however seems that Magermann lived also in Warmbath where Ebner had settled with the Afrikaners.
