Wimmer (Winer, Wimer, Wimmert), Martin * ?, ? † . When Judt opened the School for Evangelists in Hoachanas in 1887, A certain Winer [sic] was one of his students. Could it have been Wimmer? Judt remarks about him "[...] Dagegen macht ein Bastard namens Winer mir Sorge und Mühe. Er möchte lieber den großen Herrn spielen, als fügsam und fleißig sein."1 In November 1888, when the Bastards of Hoachanas made peace with Hendrik Witbooi, they left Hoachanas and joined the Witboois forces at Lidfontein (because Hoachanas was under siege by Hendrik Witbooi), Judt gave Martin Wimer [sic] to the group as teacher [and Evangelist].2 Judt mentioned that the whole group consisted of 31 members of the congregation and 32 participants in the baptism class (this will say a relatively small group) and the leader of the group was also a Wimmer (Gert) it seems self-evident that this Martin must also have been a Wimmer. [Indeed, because Judt always refers to "Wimer"] Informant of Spellmeyer in an episode 1905, when Spellmeyer inquired about the background of the beginning of the war in Gibeon.3 Married: Children: Education: Other family members connected to RMG: For the Wimmer families connection with the RMS, see Michael Wimmer.
