Er vermittelt etwas von den harten Anforderungen, die durch die Missionsarbeit an die Missionare herantreten. Er habe zwei San getauft, Elsie Sinje und Gamchoa Gei-khaub und "[...] er bat die Synode, die VEM um Hilfe zu bitten, daß nun doch endlich auch über seinen Dienst hinaus etwas auf dem Gebiet der ärztlichen Mission geschehen könne", seine Bitte wird mit starkem Beifall durch die Synode bestätigt. (IdWfdW 1973:8). In October 1982 Bishop Frederick suggested to Nashongo to join the Botswana mission of the ELK amongst the Herero and Bushmen, together with pastor Musutua, Ananias !Gau !gaseb and Gerson Uhihama.
