Keramin, Sarah (Sara) 07.05.1941 Parents: Father Petrus Kooper ("Nama-Skaapwagter") and Mother Hanna Keramin ("Damara-vrou") Schooling in the years 1949-54 in Gochas, where she completed Std. III 1955-62 she looked afte the children of a South African family in Gochas. It was during this time, in 1957, that she became a member of the ELK. In 1958 her mother married the "Nama-Padwerker" Jakob Boois. In 1960 Sarah Keramin gave birth to her daughter Martha Emma. In 1960 she spent 3 month in the hospital at Usakos because of TB. Part of 1960 she spent at the bible school at Otjimbingwe. 1963 she continued at the bible school at Otjimbingwe. After that she worked as a hostel mother and "helpster" in the congregation in Gochas till 1967. "If I think about my life, I have to be thankful that I learned to know the Lord Jesus as my personal saviour. Off cause I knew of him, because I was a member of the Youth Group, but I did not really follow the Lord Jesus. That was the reason why I had to leave the Bible School course in 1960 at an earlier stage. When I arrived at home, the Word of God started to talk to me suddenly. It was Proverbs 14, verses 12-13: " " The mercy of God has opened my eyes. The grace of God, our savior, can not be described in words. That is why I received another chance in 1963 to complete the year at the Bible School with great blessings and happiness. 1 Interview on 11.8.2004 in Gochas. 1960 attended the Heinz Stöbe-Seminary for Kindergarten teachers?? in Karibib.?? 1964 she became the first African matron in Paulinum after Mr. Schmidt and his wife left for Germany. 1967-68 did her training in Fébé-Seminary in Otjimbingwe and finished as an "vroulike evangelist". 1968 she was send to the Gochas congregation and worked amongst the youth, the women, the hostel and in the Kindergarten. Keramin, Sarah Sarah Boois was not a family of S. Boois. 1960 "to the mission as a sister." 1962 as successor of Mr. Schmidt (technician) to Paulinum as matron. 1967-68 to Febé Seminary (Heinz Stoebe). In 1968 she was send to the congregation Gochas to do women- and youth-work, work in the hostel and kindergarten. While Sarah Keramin was working in Gochas, the following evangelists were in the congregation: Franz Gariseb, Adam Isaak, Jan Keister, Andries Goieman. She schooled at Martin-Luther-High School, but "fled" from there in 1988. After that she worked as a matron in the guest house of the ELCRN in Windhoek. After attending the course at the Febe-seminary she worked in Gochas. Here in Gochas it was the schoolteacher Mutuascha (Mutuana??) who kept the congregation alive. He was a Damara and originated from Stampriet. During the weekends she used to travel to the farms in the surrounding either she was send by the teacher or they would go together. In 1994 she attended a three month course in Windhoek.
