Schmidt, Petrus (Andreas) * ?, ? † . Schmidt was teacher in Maltahöhe when Hendrik Samuel Isaak and his wife were transferred from Gibeon to Maltahöhe in 1943. "Hierdie vier, Petrus Jod, Petrus Andreas Schmidt, Willem Moses Jod, en Hendrik Samuel Isaak was almal die mees geleerde onderwysers en uiters bekwame geestelike leiers op daardie tydstip."1 Was issued with a certification of exemption from pass law in the rank as a principal of the "AME Inboorling-Sendingskool" from the headquarter Maltahöhe in May 1963.2 On 25.05.1963 the Chief-Bantu-Commissioner informed the Officer in Charge about the exemption from pass law of Petrus Andreas Schmidt Hendrik Witbooi Isaak Swartbooi "which received your attention because of ideological reasons."3 According to the oral Information of Pastor Peter Pauly in Windhoek on 14.08.2004 Petrus Andreas (P. A.) Schmidt became an ardent supporter of AMEC, no other information found. A petition concerning the exemption of passlaw for Eduard Frederik is signed in April 1964 by the following persons during the Gibeon district conference of AMEC: "Pastor P. A. Schmidt, Chief-pastor Pastor W. M. Jod Pastor J Nakem Pastor M. Witbooit Pastor J. Topnaar Pastor D. Dausab Pastor J. Jod Pastor J. I am sad that he could not witness the completion of my study. May his soul rest in peace.5 Married: Children: Education: Other family members connected to RMS: Mission Stations: History with the RMS: 1 Isaak 2005:3. 2 NAN BAC 12 3 NAN BAC 12. 4 NAN BAC 23. 5 Tjibeba 2003:iii. --------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- ------------------------------------------------------------
