Nimmt am Evangelisten Anfängerkurs von April 1958 bis Juli 1959 im Paulinum teil.1 

In February 1963 the first pastor of the "Rynse Kerk in SWA", the former RMS evangelist Bernhard de Klerk, was ordained in Rehoboth by his teacher de Voss. De Klerk had left the service of the ELK as Evangelist "[...] under immense pressure by his parents [...]", joined the "Rynse Kerk in SWA" and attended a pastors course of the "Morkel Church".2 De Klerk now used the title "dominee".
In 1966 de Klerk left the service of the "Rynse Kerk in SWA" because it was alleged that his wife belonged to the Catholic Church and therefore contravening a rule of the "Rynse Kerk in SWA"
On 04.07.1967 the "Rynse Kerk in SWA" split and the majority of its members formed the "Evangelical Mission Congregation Rehoboth", a name that was used in the RMS congregation before the formation of the ELK. As its pastor ("dominee") the congregation appointed Bernhard de Klerk.3

His father, Gert de Klerk, was elder in Rehoboth and founding member of the "Aksie-Komitee Rynse Bastergemeente Rehoboth.4
Ein, den Deutschen "treu gebliebener" Teil der RMS Gemeinde Rehoboth bekennt in einem Schreiben vom 06.12.1927 seine Mitschuld an dem Konflikt mit der RMS und bittet Missionar Blecher und RMS um Verzeihung. unter 17 Unterschriften Barend de Klerk.5
