He (Pönnighaus only mentions Filippus - and NOT Saul - as the first name) completed the second evangelist course at Paulinum in Karibib after the examination in December 1947. The course was for one year; he came from Grootfontein to the Paulinum, was classified as Bergdama and was 33 years old when he finished. He passed the examination with "satisfactory", and was send to Grootfontein. He was married when attending the evangelist course. RMG 2.561a p. 195.
