He completed the second evangelist course at Paulinum in Karibib after the examination in December 1947. The course was for one year; he came from Gibeon to the Paulinum, was classified as Nama and was 35 years old when he finished. He passed the examination with "good", and was send to Gibeon. He was married when attending the evangelist course. RMG 2.561a p. 195.

Paul Pieter, Gibeon/Maltahöhe, "Nama", attended the course for chief evangelists (so called "Förderungskurs") at Paulinum which started in August 1951. Completed the course with an examination end of October 1952. Because he was amongst the group of 7 in the course who had a "satisfying" to "good" examination result, he qualified for a promotion to become a chief evangelist with the right to administer the sacraments in the district of his congregation. In ihrer Sitzung vom 18.03.1957 wird der Vorstand der Südsinode von Missionar Mayer informiert, dass die Evangelisten Jeremias Kahuika, Isaak Jakob und Fritz /Ui-+nuseb aus dem Dienst suspendiert wurden. Mayer bittet die Synode, zu überlegen, wie den drei Mitarbeitern geholfen werden kann. Durch diese drei Suspendierungen und die Versetzung von Pastor Cornelius Isaak ist es nötig geworden, dass HE Paul Pieter von Maltahöhe nach Gibeon versetzt werden muss.5

Was issued with a certification of exemption from pass law in the rank as a pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in S.W.A. from the headquarter Gibeon in November 1961.6

Paul Pieter was one of fervent co-workers of missionary Mayer during the time of the AMEC secession from the RMS. In 1966 he was forced to retire by the church board of the ELK because of financial irregularities. He therefore resigned from the ELK and formed a "Rynse Kerk" in Gibeon and surrounding. He also called his church "Rynse Kerk" because he was not against the Rhenish Mission Society as such, but was only unsatisfied with the local church board of the ELK. Sundermeier alleges that Paul Pieter formed his own congregation to increase his chances to be nominated as a second chief in the Gibeon-Reserve. Only "[...] a hand full [...]" of people, mostly "[...] mostly his own family members [...]" joined his church. Temporarily the "Rynse Kerk" of Paul Pieter had a close cooperation with the "Rynse Mundunga-Kerk".7
